Deut. 31…I am still in this passage today. Can you imagine a love that gives people land, houses, fields (they didn’t prepare), and leads them to victory knowing all the while that once they are settled and satisfied, they will turn their back on you and rebel against every thing you have asked them to do? According to this passage, that is exactly what God has done with us. He even warns us ahead of time what our rebellion will cost us and our kids. But we do it anyway. Then we have the gall to complain that He isn’t keeping His promises. When I think of the sins I have committed and the price that Jesus paid for their forgiveness and then the number of times that I have just turned my head away and, yet, when I returned to Him in repentance, and He forgave the guilt (Ps. 32:5) of my sin, I STAND IN AWE OF OUR LORD GOD. Love so amazing…so divine….and He loves me!
