Frank is the best father our sons could have ever had. He was an oak of integrity and love. He was there for them all the time. He cared about the little things, as Dan told our pastor before the funeral: “If he had a meeting at church and I had a game, he would finish the meeting and come to the game to watch me play.” When I would get upset because our sons didn’t show us as much attention as I thought they should, he would remind me that they were wonderful men who were busy with responsibilities for their own families now. We should be grateful that they were each serving the Lord and faithful in their family responsibilities. How blessed we are to have had Frank in our lives. He was a much better father than I am a mother.
I will miss him tomorrow especially. Even more than my own father. But both are with my heavenly Father and I know I will see them again someday in God’s good time.
