Awoke this morning to the sound of the rain on the roof and thanked God. What a beautiful sound with the thunder rolling and a hard falling rain. Our area really needed it. It is now calm between storms.
Sometimes life is like that. Really hard drenching storms and then finally the calm, cool time between storms. Do I really thank God for the storms of life? Not always. I am learning to after so many blessings that have come through them to me. Especially the blessing of knowing Jesus on a deeper level. “In everything give thanks for this is the will of God concerning you.” 1 Thess. 5:17. Knowing He is at the helm of my life is enough. Always —  regardless of the storm.
