This has been a very heartening week as I have thought about another year, a new walk with Jesus, one that doesn’t  include my honey.  God has so encased me in His love shown through the friends He has brought my way over the years.  He has been so very good to me even during my most difficult moments and months until I can’t help but praise Him and thank Him.  I have had a wonderful birthday week. I am reminded about a verse I found years ago that reminds us how close our Lord really is to us:

“Speak to Him, thou, for He hears and spirit with spirit shall meet,

Closer is He than breathing; and nearer than hands and feet.”   — Anon.

I have been reminded this week that as I breathe, He is closer still.  Wow!  How could He love me so?  I don’t know, yet I am grateful that He does.
