So sad

Really sad that Robin Williams felt that he had to hang himself and leave his depressing life.  The way his suicide is bringing positive statements about the benefits he now has is equally sad. For example: “At least he is happy now.” “No more troubles for him.” “He is finally at peace.” “He is in a better place.”  These comments are anything but discouraging to others who are considering their own suicide.  There is nothing they want more than happiness, no more trouble, and peace.  I pray that none are encouraged to follow Robin’s example.

This event should be telling us that no matter the amount of money, fame, talent, good works, recognition, and respect from others one has, these do not satisfy the deepest desire of one’s heart.  Only knowing the grace, mercy and love of our Lord Jesus Christ can fill that void.  He has certainly made it very possible for us to be filled with His love, peace, and joy each and every day we live.  We need to lose ourselves in the wonder of God and His love for us; only then will we be filled to overflowing. (Matthew 6:33)

God has made me whole by completely filling the hole within my heart with Himself!  What Joy!
