How I enjoy worshiping in the family God has given me. Great time of singing and listening to the message God placed upon our pastor’s heart. Sharing the love with other believers and simply enjoying my God. Grateful to the Lord Jesus Christ who makes this possible through His death and resurrection on our behalf. I find it so amazing that the Creator God would care about me and love me even in my rebellion. He draws us back to Himself with loving-kindness (Jeremiah 31:3). How can we not be forever grateful and revel in His love and forgiveness!?!
I was very moved this week when one of the only persons at my new church who knew Frank shared, “I really liked Frank. He seemed like such a nice man.” Just sharing thoughts from his heart about the Frank he had come to know when he was ill. I have often wished that they could have known each other longer. There was a mutual love and respect between them. They connected in spirit. I don’t see many people who knew my husband very often anymore. When I talk about him with my new friends, who are wonderful to listen, I am talking about a stranger. They never knew him, his life, his heart. So it was nice to hear just a word from someone who had come to know him, however briefly.
Even in the small events of every day life, God is faithful to give us what we need. Even when we don’t realize how much we need it. I needed to hear that this week. I didn’t know it, but He did. Neither did the one who said it know what it would mean to me, he was just sharing a thought from his heart. How beautiful is our God! How beautiful is our Savior Jesus Christ! How beautiful is the Holy Spirit! There is no God like our God! How can I not love Him with every fiber of my being!?!
