I have always known the best people in the world are found in the church. These past 20 years Frank and I served in a small church with some very wonderful people. We had to close the church last April (2013) because the mostly senior citizen congregation had either moved away or gone home to be with the Lord and we were left with eight members. Not enough to keep a church going. This was difficult for us all. All have since found new places of worship and service for which I am grateful. Most of us still meet once a month to visit and share our lives as we had done for so many years.
As a pastor and wife finding a new church was very difficult for Frank and me. He came to really like the pastor at this new church and was ready to join, but was never able to physically do so before going home with Jesus. (He’s in the best church ever now!) However, I joined soon after he left and have been so very grateful to our Lord for giving me another great family to be a part of. There is such a spirit of sweetness and love in my church. I was immediately made to feel at home and have been so blessed by the love and acceptance that I have felt.
Jesus said “This is my command: that you love one another.” My church does that and God is glorified.
