A year ago today

2013 Biles boys This picture was taken on Oct. 4, 2013.  The last picture taken with Frank and our sons.  A year ago today, October 15, 2013,  Frank was admitted into the hospital and the final battle of his life began.  He had aspiration pneumonia  resulting from his previous cancer surgery and radiation.  Little did we realize then that within four months, He would go home to be with the Lord.  He fought a good fight and kept the faith.  In fact, he shared the faith with everyone who walked into his hospital room.  I marveled at his brilliant smile and desire to see others come to know and love the Lord Jesus whom he had served so consistently.  Throughout this time Jesus continued to be his friend and strength.

I am so amazed that the Lord gave me the privilege of loving and serving this wonderful man of His for 49 years.  I am grateful that the Lord answered my prayer for 10-15 years for Frank in 2000 so that his grandchildren could know him and the Lord he served.  I am so grateful that I was able to be at his side during his illness.  Next to Jesus, Frank was my heart.  I still consider myself married to him.  He is my husband although now in heaven.  Such a precious man.  Such a precious God we serve.

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” Psalms 116:15
