Being Thankful

I am thankful for the 49 years I had with my husband, Frank.  I am so grateful that he was a man of God who kept his commitments to us all.  I am grateful that (though I miss Frank deeply) God didn’t let him linger in his illness any longer, but took him home where he received complete healing forever.  I praise God that He is with me and walking me through this time of sorrow and adjustment.  “My God will supply all you need according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

I am thankful for the 3 sons we had and that, as they grew, they came to know God and follow Him. They are raising their children to know and follow Him also.  Each son is involved with the work of God through his church and live for Him daily.  I am grateful for the godly women they married and that their commitment remains faithful. I continue to pray that they finish well in the faith and that their children-my grandchildren-walk in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I am extremely amazed and grateful for the love of my Lord Jesus Christ and God the Father whose love for me sent Christ to Calvary to purchase my salvation and life with Him forever.  When I think of what I have done in my rebellion, it overwhelms me that He loves and cares for me so.  He has never left me alone.  He sustains me and is my rock. I can only praise Him for who He is and what He has done for us all. I know He will never fail me.

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.  Praise the Lord.” Psalms 150:6
