Specific love

When I was considering the need to go to the hospital last weekend, I wondered what the purpose was that God had in mind.  I decided to see if there was anyone He wanted me to share His love with during this illness.  In my hospital room, I played worship songs from my iTunes on my phone softly, so as not to disturb others in the hallway or rooms.  When the night nurse came in, she commented on my music and we began a conversation that lasted over the nights she was there.  She affirmed that she definitely knew Jesus as her Savior and was a member of a local body of believers, but had not been going much due to her work hours.  Before she left she affirmed her need to return to church and I told her that she needed the church and the church needed her.

The final night, she said she would begin going again.  I shared with her my question when I entered the hospital and that I was sure there was some one God wanted me to share His love with and it must have been her.  I told her that God loves each one of us individually and specifically and that I believed that He had me there for her especially.  What joy to know and serve such a God of love and moments when He shines His love into our hearts.  I pray for this sweet nurse and her relationship with Jesus.  Just as I pray for all who read this and your relationship with Jesus.  There is nothing better in life than loving Jesus.
