I’ve been thinking lately about how blessed I am because of knowing God through the Lord Jesus Christ, His Son. I have been forgiven of all my sin and am included in His family as an adopted child of God. Jesus is not ashamed to call me sister and advocate for me when I do sin. When I come to Him and confess (name the sin) and agree that it is sin He willingly forgives me of that sin and the ones I don’t even know about yet! 1 John 1:9 So I don’t have to live with a guilty conscience. I am free to truly care about others and love as He loves. What a beautiful way to live.

“There is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus; who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Romans 8:1. God knows the sin I have allowed to rule over me and the cry of my heart for forgiveness and power through His Spirit to overcome sin in my life. Then once forgiven, He remembers my sin no more. He casts it into the depths of the sea. We are not to go fishing for that sin again since it is forgiven and forgotten by God. Oh, how I pray everyone I know is living in relationship with Jesus Christ. He makes me free to be the person He created me to be. I live in His joy and peace because of Who He is.

When doubts or thoughts of condemnation come, I just say, “He has forgiven me. My sins have been washed from His memory by the blood of the Lamb of calvary. He has forgiven me.” God always keeps His Word. I can count on His forgiveness and be filled with His joy and peace. To have such a God Who loves me and bestows His lovingkindness and mercy upon me is beyond comprehension. I just know it is true because He has enriched my life in so many ways.

“I acknowledged my sin to you, and my iniquity I did not hide; I said, :I will confess my transgressions to the Lord”; and You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah”. Psalm 32:5
