Better than I Deserve

I have just completed all my 6 month Follow-up appointments. My cardiologist was so pleased this morning with my ekg and echo that he said he would see me in a year! I was so surprised because I have been going every six months. My blood pressure, pulmonary hypertension, and heart health was very good. I am so thrilled with God’s blessings today.

Those of you that know me know that I have lung fibrosis (scar tissue) in the lungs caused by rheumatoid arthritis. It has been stable for two years now and I am feeling myself again. I am active in my church, senior citizens center, Bible studies, which I love to do, as well as getting to know my new friends better.

God has blessed me in so many ways after moving me to this town. I know it sounds strange to those who don’t follow Jesus as Lord and Savior, but He is the reason for my joy, happiness, peace and purpose. I have found in Jesus all the promises of God prove true. His grace has forgiven me much and His mercy has filled me with awe. “O God, it is You Who knows my folly, and my wrongs are not hidden from You. May those who wait for you not be ashamed through me, O Lord God of Hosts; May those who seek you not be dishonored through me, O Lord God of Israel…But as for me, at an acceptable time, O God, answer me in the greatness of Your loving kindness, answer me with Your saving truth.” Psalm 69:5, 6 13.

God knows my sin, my folly, my selfish nature and He loves me anyway. He forgives me when I come to Him in repentance and patiently brings me back into His truth and grace. There is no other god in the world who is so gracious and kind, full of mercy and truth. So I gratefully with open heart to both God and man say: I have received better than I deserve in life. Thank You, Jesus, for saving me.
