“Show us the Father.” Jesus heard him say.

Show us the Father. That we may plainly see

That He is truly righteous and all our God should be.

“Show us the Father. Philip cried in earnest to see the Father’s face;

Today, we plead with hope to keep Him in His place.

Philip truly saw the Lord. He came to understand;

We only see ourselves and what we’ve done for man.

Show us the Father; an absent minded moan.

Show us His will; and then we do our own.

Then in moments of reflection, we realize with a sigh,

We cannot see the Father. Then we wonder why.
