Giving Thanks

Many things to give for this week. I have a roof over my head with warmth or cool whenever I need it. I have family that I love dearly and I believe they love me. I have clothes to wear that keep me comfortable whatever the season. I have friends around me to drive me where I need to go. They also are fun to play games with several time a week. I have doctors who really care about my health and wellness.

I am so glad to be an American who can choose where to work and play. I can express myself about my convictions and beliefs. I appreciate the freedom that our country has had for the past 200+ years. We have the best kind of government in the world for solidarity and independence. We have been and I pray we will continue to be a strong nation.

Most of all, though, I am so very thankful for JESUS and His love for me. I am happy to serve a God who loves me and is concerned about my life. He wants to know me and allow me to know Him personally. I can talk with Hiim at any time of day or night. He is with me to strengthen me and give me direction no matter the circumstances. Jesus has directed my life for over 70 years and shown Himself faithful to do what He says He will do. He cannot lie nor can He turn aside from His promises. He even said He is building a place for me to be with Him forever. He has provided forgiveness for all my sins and given me the righteousness of Christ instead of wrath. How I love Him and desire always to please Him.

Yes, I am blessed…so very blessed because of Jesus. I pray anyone reading this will consider trusting Jesus to do the same for you. He surely desires to. “In my Father’s house are many rooms. I go to prepare a place for you and if I go, I will come again to receive you to myself that where I am you may be also. I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father, but by Me.” John 14:2-4, 6.

God, the Father, and Jesus, His Son, wants us to life with Him forever. Such great love! There is nothing and no one better than that to know.
